Mission 60's at TWA

  • Lightreel 5210 North Williams Avenue Portland, OR, 97217 United States (map)

A three-day celebration of Apollo, aviation, space exploration, and 1960s culture.
a three-day immersive space, science, and retro 1960s celebration.

Join us for a weekend in 1969! MISSION:60s celebrates the inspiration that sent us to the Moon in the 1960s, and once again today nearly 60 years later. Combining the real science of Mercury, Gemini, & Apollo Programs, the artistic, philosophical, & physical breakthroughs that helped propel the golden age of space exploration then, and again today. Set within the iconic architecture of the historic TWA Hotel, the restored original Eero Saarinen terminal building from 1962, you will be fully immersed in the sights, sounds, and minds of the 1960s jet-set era, reinvigorated again with the current return to the Moon with the Artemis Program. Come for a weekend of talks by Apollo Flight Directors, Mission Control engineers, Astronauts, celebrities, scientists & educators, interactive activations, vendors & artists. Hosted by Luna Replicas, Space for Humanity, and with partner Institute of Noetic Sciences, founded by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell and our sponsors & event partners.
